What is Astrology?: symbolic language used to describe the archetypes of the "Luminaries" (Sun & Moon), planets, other celestial "wanderers" &/or fixed star systems, their locations in the sky, and exploration of their themes, as they may relate to what life on Earth... and more!
- Many people are well-familiar with the idea of a Sun sign and even Moon sign, but that's really just the "tip of the iceberg," so to speak..

What is a Birth Chart?: symbolic map of the archetypes of the planets'/wanderers' position in the sky and more at the moment of a birth
What do people do with their personal Birth Chart?: With the help of Astrologers, people can learn about their personal astrological birth charts, which they may work with as symbolic maps to explore, understand, &/or find inspiration for themes related to identity, likes/dislikes, how one's mind works, strengths, challenges, personal transformation/growth/evolution; self-acceptance, self-love, self-compassion, bringing consciousness to one's relationships with others and even decision-making, such as with "timing" techniques

What info. do I need to have /provide in order for a personal Birth Chart to be created/read:
- Minimum info.: Birth Date (month, day, & year)
  - Preferably also: Birth City/Town & exact Birth Time (Hour & Minutes) (There is so much more that can be explored with this info., when it is available.)
- Where can this be found?: Preferably, one confirms this data by looking at one's original or a “long”/“full” copy of one's Birth Certificate, at least for those born in the USA. (The "short" version may not have the exact time indicated.)
  - What about asking parent(s) &/or others who were present when I was born? Apparently, people who are present at one's birth don't always remember the time correctly (whether due to sleep disruption, birthing hormones, medications, etc.), so if you can find and/or order a version of your birth certificate (preferably a version which includes your exact birth time and location) from the equivalent of your natal Health Dept. / Dept. of Vital Records, that document is usually considered the most accurate source.
- What if I can't find this birth info.?: Astrologers can still speak to the symbolism of the celestial objects, the "sign" in which they were or were likely to be located in the sky, and their "aspects" (relationships) to each other on the day of your birth, even if you don't know the exact birth location or exact time. If you happened to be born on a day during which one of these objects (most commonly the Moon) changed signs, the astrologer can inform you of the possibilities.
  - Even knowing for certain whether it was night-time or day-time at the moment of your birth can be helpful in discussing certain astrological concepts/themes, too.
  - To identify one's "Rising" sign (aka "Ascendant," and considered an important aspect of natal chart reading and other astrological factors), in which "houses" (life themes) the celestial objects were located at the moment of your birth, and/or for special/advanced astrological techniques, both birth location and exact time are needed.
  - "Reverse Engineering" Birth Time: If there is any reason one's accurate birth time can't be obtained but you'd like to explore more detailed astrological concepts which require exact birth time, there are specialized astrologers who perform "chart rectification", which involves a series of questions about significant life events and when they occurred to try to pinpoint a more specific time of birth.

ASTROLOGY Appointment FORMAT

What: Once you sign up through the form on this page and I receive your payment, we will schedule an appt. at a mutually agreeable date & time, before which I will prepare a chart reflecting positions of traditional &/or one or more "modern" planet based on the details you provided; and during our appointment, we will explore the chart together via Zoom. For more information, please see below.
Time BEFORE our Live Appointment:
- I'll PREPARE your astrological chart, which typically includes at least 15 to 30 minutes:
  - identifying the positions of the 10 major "wanders" (7 traditional planets + 1st 3 modern "planets") in your chart;
  - identifying your Ascendant (aka Rising sign) (if you have provided birth location (city, state, country) and exact birth time (to the minute);
  - looking up positions of other modern placements (such as Asteroids, Centaurs, etc.) and identifying those which stand out to me in your chart with respect to or more key major planets in your chart; &
  - creating an image of their placements in the 12 signs of the astrological zodiac.
  - OPTIONAL: If you are requesting a slideshow, I will also spend an additional 15 to 30 minutes preparing slides which will include:
    - the image I've prepared of your astrological chart, as described above
    - description of universal archetypal themes of the focal point (e.g., of the Sun, Moon, &/or Rising Sign, if its our 1st appointment)
    - highlighting where that focal point is in your chart &/or major aspects to other positions in your chart.
- Suggested -- YOUR Preparation Immediately BEFORE: If possible, I encourage YOU to spend 10 to 15 minutes on self-care (perhaps mindful movement or rest) immediately before our live appointment.
DURING our Appointment: Following a brief body-centered awareness activity &/or intention-setting, we will chat about your astrological chart. Please note:
- FIRST Astrology Appt. with Me: Before we dive into your chart, I will introduce my basic astrology approach. During this initial exploration of your chart, we will likely focus on:
  - either or both of the Luminaries (Sun & Moon);
  - your Ascendent* (aka "Rising Sign")
    - *Note: Identifying the Ascendent requires exact birth time and birth city/state; or
  - all 3 of the above (commonly known as the "BIG Three"; &/or
  - 1 or more other celestial "wanderers" which may be in a strong relationship with any of your "Big Three" being discussed
- SUBSEQUENT Appointments may include, depending on your interest and/or what I'm focusing on at the time of our scheduled appointment -- possibilities might be the placements during the moment of your birth of one or more of the following:
  - other traditional/ancient planet(s) (which have been visible in the sky before modern technology);
  - modern celestial object(s) (discovered after the invention of the telescope); &/or
  - "fixed" star system(s) making special alignments with key planets in your chart.
  - NOTE re: Timing Techniques and Synastry:
    - Timing Techniques: While I might bring attention to a significant Planetary "Return" (when a planet returns to the same location in the chart as when one was born), I don't anticipate focusing on other timing techniques (other transits (currently, past, or future) and their aspects to the natal chart, etc.) for the current mini-reading offer.
    - Synastry: I'm not currently focusing on Synastry readings (which look at the relationship between the natal charts of 2 individuals). I may be offering such readings in the future.
      - If after having a basic mini-reading on your own natal chart, please let me know if you'd be interested in a reading on the synastry with another loved one's chart. (If the other person is not your minor child, it will require their permission/consent.)

Time AFTER our Live Appointment:
- If you have requested slides, I may spend more time editing the slides after our live appointment to reflect our conversation. I will then email the slides to you.
  - Depending on unexpected time-sensitive demands from my birthwork services (e.g., being called to a birth, referral for family with a late-term breech baby, etc.), it may take me several days or even a week to finalize and email you the slides.
  - If more than a week has passed since our appointment, please reach out.
- Suggested -- YOUR time Immediately AFTER: If possible, I encourage you to set aside an extra 10 to 15 minutes immediately after the official appt. end time:
  - in case we want to extend our conversation a little longer; &/or
  - for self-care (your reflection / note-taking, mindful movement, &/or rest)
    - (If you have a HARD STOP at the official appointment end time, please let me know at the start of the appointment.)

I have been actively studying astrology for over 3 years, and am in my first year of doing formal 1 hour live client astrological chart readings. I am currently offering the following private astrology appointments (reflecting a discount off of my usual hourly private services rate).

FIRST Astrology Appt.: centered around 1 or more of the "Big Three" (Sun, Moon, &/or Ascendent)
- 15 to 30 minutes preparing your chart before we meet

- 15 to 30 minutes (reviewing the chart I prepared for you previously &/or creating a new chart for you based on other content related to other chart factors, themes you want to explore),

- 1 hour LIVE private appointment
